The flagship processor from MediaTek will no longer

MediaTek is known to be one of the largest manufacturers of mobile processors. However, companies can’t compete with Qualcomm. The latter remains the leader in the high end segment.

For evidence not far to seek. In the beginning of the year MediaTek released the flagship chip Helio X30. The decision was the first platform created by the technology of 10 nm. But it did not help the Chinese to overcome the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, Apple A11 Samsung Exynos 8895 and Huawei Kirin 970.

Product MediaTek was worse “classmates.” Helio X30 became part of the only 2 sets – 7 Plus Meizu Pro and Elephone X8 Lite. We can say that the phone designers snubbed. Partly to blame for a built-in modem that does not match the global specifications.

MediaTek says it was forced to revise the strategy. The company management stated that it will focus on mid-range models. Special emphasis will be placed on the popular series Helio P.
